INTO SHADES OF TWILIGHT
Advices for all those who see my darkest works as "much too dark"... (if you see my images as blackness with "something" in it... - then this isn't what I intend)
Here are points that should help You make my images viewable similarly to how I see them:
1. first of all: watch by night and without light or with small lamp (most important is that light shouldnt cast on monitor)... if you watch in daylight darken room (cause if you dont you will probably see nothing...)
2. please calibrate your monitor*. It will take you maybe 1 minute only (adjusting brightness and contrast to right level) - here you can calibrate your monitor
[link] (if this link doesnt work then just type in google: monitor calibration)
(* Important: If you watch images at night then also calibrate monitor at night. Cause if you will calibrate during day, and watch at night - images will look too light, and without black elements)
note: i see most of my b&w works as shades of dark grey with darkness. (for tech-freaks it would be: "first half of histogram")
3. 1 (or more) minutes of eyes accomodation (to screen and darkness) and You see much, much more...
4. if You use lcd (it is much, much worst for this kind of images) then watch with right angle (on some lcd's lighter parts are seeable only when you look a little from above, on other lcd's black/dark parts are seeable only when you look a little from below...)
5. finally: darkness, low contrast, and lack of lights (on most of my works) are my style. enjoy...
(edit) note: since some time i prepare all my works for light-grey backrgound, not black as before (axactly - since my work "Nosferaru" submitted on February 8, 2007)
.
INFORMATION for all watchers and visitors:
Sometimes I stop opening deviantArt because I simply do not feel (enjoy) doing and watching artworks (for weeks or months) This doesnt mean I ignore your works (I just look at them later)
Second thing is that I do not follow this give-fave-back rule.
This is pure nonsense for me. I mean: I fave and/or comment works when I really enjoy them, and if I spent more time to contemplate them. I do not go to look at your gallery automatically after comment/fave on mine (although I always give thanks, because I am not ignorant.)
And: I never fav/comment works with big watermarks, because I just cant enjoy such works.
Art is pure thing to me.

Sometimes it feels like I look through her eyes. Other days it feels like she's looking out through mine. We make it all up as we go along, don't we?"
